A Proposal on the conduction of one day seminar on the topic: " Industrial Engineering: Future Scopes and Challenges in Nepal”
Realizing the country’s need for industrial empowerment Industrial Engineering faculty was started in Thapathali Campus in 2062 B.S. Hence, with the elapse of time a fresh batch of Industrial Engineers are to be oozed into the market This is a very prestigious moment for the nation.
Despite,the faculty being very important in the field of engineering in Nepal,it is sensed to be in the seed stage where proper care and harvesting is needed. As described in the course of study,Industrial Engineers will have a prescribed knowledge in the field of technology and management.Hence,Industrial Engineers deliver the potentiality to increase productivity and sustainability of the economic growth in the country.
So as a notion to enhance the field of Industrial Engineering, Society of Industrial Engineering Students-Nepal (SOIES-Nepal),in collaboration with the Department of Industrial Engineering and Thapathali Campus,have come with a program of One Day National Seminar on the topic “Industrial Engineering:Future Scopes and Challenges in Nepal”. The program is to be held on Saturday, 4th Baisakh, 2067 . The program is expected to be facilitated with renowned personnels, industrialists and engineers.
The expected number of participants are around 400,including the students,staffs,professors,secretary of ministry of Industry and Commerce and personnels from concerned echelons.

The objective of the seminar are described as follows:

• To disseminate the production of Industrial Engineering at Thapathali Campus.
• Scoop for the problem relating to the Industrial Engineering in Nepal.
• Point out the positive aspects and cautious areas of services that Industrial Engineers can deliver to the country.
• Scrutinize the probable scope and form a logistic to facilitate the faculty.
• Establish the independent work to mobilize the students in their relevant field of interest.
• Find out the measures and possible solutions for the problems relating to Industrial Engineering.
